Welcome to our new students joining the October Intake 2023 at C3S Business School, Barcelona! We are excited to have you join our dynamic community. Get ready for an engaging Welcome Week filled with informative sessions, networking opportunities, and enjoyable activities to help you settle in and connect with your peers.

Monday, October 9th: We start the week on a relaxed note with no scheduled activities. Use this time to get familiar with the campus and your new surroundings.

Tuesday, October 10th: Join us for Breakfast and Registration from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. This is your chance to meet fellow students, faculty, and staff while completing essential registration processes. Later, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Amanda García Gómez will introduce you to Spanish Culture, providing valuable insights into the local customs and traditions. The day concludes with a session on Residency Papers with Dolores and Sam from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM, helping you navigate the necessary documentation for your stay in Barcelona.

Wednesday, October 11th: Another day starts with Breakfast and Registration from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. At 11:00 AM, Yvette Summers will conduct a session on Business English until 12:00 PM, aimed at enhancing your language skills for academic and professional success. This is followed by an Academic Introduction and a session on Goal Setting with Aida and Fernando from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, setting you on the path to achieving your academic objectives.

Thursday, October 12th: Take a break and enjoy a free day to explore the city or catch up on personal tasks. There are no scheduled activities today.

Friday, October 13th: Friday begins with a Student Support session from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, where you can learn about the various resources available to support your academic and personal well-being. This is followed by a Spanish language session from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM, helping you get comfortable with basic conversational Spanish. The week wraps up with a relaxing Boat Tour from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, offering a scenic view of Barcelona and a chance to socialize with your new friends.

Cultural and Administrative Integration: Students will be introduced to Spanish culture and gain an understanding of the local customs, which will help them acclimate to their new environment. They will also receive guidance on completing necessary residency paperwork, ensuring a smooth administrative transition.
Academic and Language Skills: Through sessions on Business English and Spanish language basics, students will enhance their communication skills, crucial for their academic and professional endeavors. Additionally, the academic introduction and goal-setting session will equip them with strategies for academic success.
Support Systems and Networking: Welcome Week offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the student support services available, ensuring students know where to seek help when needed. The various social activities, including the boat tour, provide a platform for networking and building connections with peers and faculty.

Presentators

Dr. Mehrad, an esteemed academic and researcher, holds dual Ph.D. degrees in Health/Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Social Psychology. With over 14 years of international teaching experience, she specializes in Leadership, Business Management, and Strategic Marketing. An accomplished author, she has published extensively in scientific journals and presented at international conferences.

Dr. Aida Mehrad

Fernando Lopez Oggier is a UCLA graduate with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Geography. He has live, studied, and worked in 3 countries in 6 different cities. His research interests lie in Migration, Borders, Sustainability, and Human Rights Advocacy.
